Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your personal information.

Last updated: April 2026

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you interact with our website, request a demo, or engage with our services, we may collect personal information you voluntarily provide. This includes your full name, work email address, company name, job title, phone number, and any details shared through our contact forms or correspondence.

Automatically Collected Data

We collect certain technical data automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address (anonymized), browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on each page, and general geographic location (country/region level only). This data is collected through privacy-first analytics tools that do not create individual user profiles.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly essential cookies required for website functionality such as session management and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or fingerprinting technologies. Analytics cookies, if used, are configured to respect user privacy and do not track individual behavior across websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal data only for specific, legitimate purposes. These include responding to your inquiries and providing requested information about our services, communicating about engagements, project updates, and relevant service announcements, improving our website functionality, content, and user experience, complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms of service, and sending periodic communications about AugWiz services, industry insights, or product updates (only with your explicit consent, and with the option to unsubscribe at any time).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We may share your data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business. These include cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and data storage), email service providers (for transactional and marketing communications), analytics platforms (privacy-first, anonymized data only), and payment processors (if applicable, for billing purposes). All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to process your data only on our behalf and in compliance with applicable data protection laws. We may also disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Storage and Infrastructure

Your data is stored on secure, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. For client engagements, we support on-premise and private cloud deployments where data never leaves your infrastructure. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3, and data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 or equivalent standards.

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include role-based access controls and the principle of least privilege, regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning, employee security awareness training, incident response procedures with defined notification timelines, and audit logging and monitoring of data access.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months. Analytics data is retained in anonymized form. Client engagement data is retained per contractual terms. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: the right of access (request a copy of the personal data we hold about you), the right to rectification (request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data), the right to erasure (request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements), the right to restrict processing (request limitation of how we process your data), the right to data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format), the right to object (object to processing based on legitimate interests), and the right to withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@augwiz.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days, or within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. International Data Transfers

If your personal data is transferred outside of your country of residence, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by relevant authorities, adequacy decisions where applicable, and binding corporate rules or equivalent mechanisms. We comply with cross-border data transfer requirements under both the GDPR and India's DPDP Act.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are designed for business use and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your data.
